Backcountry Riding Skills
Are you new to backcountry skiing or snowboarding? Do you want to make the most of your "earned turns?" This is a full-day clinic focused on backcountry skiing and riding skills in preparation for truly enjoying your backcountry experience. Students will spend the morning on groomed slopes focusing on making good turns and learning proper technique. Students will then progress off the groomers to learn the techniques for riding off-piste slopes and practicing skills in variable terrain and snow conditions.
The February 26, 2017 class will focus on beginning and intermediate riders. Sold Out for Skiers! You can sign in for wait list on registration page. Do not pay unless we contact you. Still room for a few more snowboarders - sign in and make payment.
The March 5, 2017 class is designed for intermediate to advanced riders.
Required Equipment: Students must have their own skis or snowboards*. These classes will be taught in-bounds so avalanche equipment is not required.
